Creating historical elegance to transform a contemporary condo

 

A destructive water leak became the beginning of a major transformation of this two story condo. The opportunity to start from scratch was the impetus to create the space that was always wanted and in the style that was most dear to the heart. Traditional details such as the walnut fireplace surround and mantel, stair railings and balustrades, traditional base molding, crown molding, custom doors and doorway trim, cabinetry and hardware, Morrocon style Guest Bathroom, Gentlemen’s Master Bathroom, custom furniture and window coverings were added to create the vision of this client.

Dark finishes with custom metal mirror frame and patterned undercounter sink continues the stylistic theme. Storage closet is paint the same color as the wall to blend into the room while remaining a functional part of the room.

Guests have the choice to shower standing under the rainshower head or sitting utilizing the handshower hung at an accessible height. The contrasting brown wall tile helps define the shower corners helping those with visibility concerns.

Gentlemen’s Master Bath A

Heated porcelain pebble style floor keeps the feet warm, large existing skylights received a protective coat of ceramic tile, walnut base and grooming tower cabinets continue the warmth.

Gentlemen’s Master Bath B

Elegant tub/shower niche features vibrant satin gold fixtures, the beautiful variety of natural slate tile, glass tile shampoo niche and satin gold towel hook.

Gentlemen’s Master Bath C

Walnut cabinets on the perimeter of the bathroom transition to the bathing area. Heating element for the tub is accessed through the adjacent cabinet. Ceramic tile transitions to natural slate tile.
